Drawdowns
What is a drawdown?
A drawdown is a sample application of select paint on a piece of paper to show customers how the paint looks once it's dried. This helps manufacturers, designers, and customers visualize the final appearance of the paint.
How much do we charge for drawdowns?
When charging for a drawdown, we must charge for two separate line items. Firstly, we charge $11.99 for the sample that will be used for the drawdown (under the K200 SKU in OS) and then we charge $3.50 per drawdown (under the misc-drawdown SKU in OS). If the customer does not want to take the K200 sample home with them and only wants the drawdown, then we can charge $6.99 for the drawdown and $0 for the colour sample as we will be keeping it in store which we can then re-sell or use for future drawdowns.
How to create a drawdown?
In order to do a proper drawdown, a drawdown kit is required. Both the Langley and Burnaby stores have drawdown kits. Ask one of the team members and they will be happy to show you.
